The Jewish Women Artists’ Circle in the Twin Cities of Minnesota was launched in the summer of 2005. We are an informal group
of Jewish women artists who study Jewish sources with scholars in the community and create artworks on selected Jewish themes. We also have developed a series of EXHIBITS on these themes.
An important component of our project is study. As we
launch each theme, we study with distinguished scholars, whose teachings provide an important foundation in
Jewish learning and inspire us as we create our individual works for each exhibit.

The Artists’ Circle also functions as a support and critique group. The Jewish Women Artists’ Circle was initially funded in part with a grant from Rimon, the Minnesota Jewish Arts Council, an initiative of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation.
